My doctor opened up and shared how she is a child actor in several commercials. But, in high school, her father told her she finally had to pick between being an actor and medical school. She picked medical school, but she still kept a hand in acting (doing commercials here and there). She currently does commercials for the medical organization that she represents - kind of like "The Doctors" on CBS Television Stations.
I saw my doctor again today and after we talked about how it's never too late for anything, she is going to write that novel that has been in the back of her head for the longest time. She gave me some voice acting tips and encouraged me to get an agent to fast-track myself toward my goal of landing an "A" rated commercial. "A" rating meaning companies like Coca Cola, Ford, Cover Girl, and such. I'm going to take her advice. And, so the journey begins. Hollywood, here I come!
